Sony Playstation Portable or PSP is a new, exciting game console.
Apart from delivering mobile entertainment, PSP can be used as a removable storage device.
But there was a problem if you wanted to move files to/from Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE - PSP cannot be used. No USB support.
Here goes the solution.
If the PSP goes into sleep mode connection is lost, so you should turn off sleep mode in the power settings.
If you went to USB mode and nothing happened on your computer, chances are you have already tried to install
a driver for this and failed or cancelled.
If you did not see get a detection prompt, you have already installed a driver for the PSP (YES, an un-working one, but it is still assigned to that driver in win98). You MUST go into device manager and delete any ghost or invalid drivers for the USB Mass Storage Device.
Also, delete any "Unknown Device"s or anything marked with yellow warning messages.
Then, try a reboot.
Return to All Win98 drivers page.
